Congratulations to all the Moline-Coal Valley School District first graders who completed the Grrreat Tiger Tales Reading Challenge this year!  This is the 12th year for the reading program, challenging all of the Moline-Coal Valley first graders to read 10 books in one month.

This year, over 400 first-graders met the challenge and were invited along with their families to a pizza party at the Moline Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 2nd.  At the celebration, each student was awarded with a certificate of achievement and given their very own plush stuffed animal tiger.

Ascentra’s Jumpin’ George was there to congratulate all of the little readers, and even posed for a picture with each class!  A big thank you goes out to our partners at the Moline Public Library, the Moline-Coal Valley School District and the Ascentra staff that volunteered their day to make this such a memorable event for our first graders.
